Arecont Vision® Unveils New STELLAR™ Technology That Delivers Color Images in Near Total Darkness

Sets a New Benchmark for Low Light Performance

Las Vegas, NV (April 2, 2014) – Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, has unveiled its new STELLAR (Spatio TEmporal Low Light ARchitecture) technology that dramatically increases low light performance to capture color images in near-total darkness. Arecont Vision is demonstrating STELLAR in a special darkroom located in its ISC West exhibit (booth #8045) so visitors can get a first-hand look at the incredible low light performance this technology delivers.

“Arecont Vision continues to develop new technologies and products that provide unique solutions to address challenging security imaging applications,” said Dr. Sri Rama Prasanna Pavani, VP of Engineering, Arecont Vision.  “Our new STELLAR technology includes patent-pending algorithms as well as sensor and optical improvements that enhance low light sensitivity and performance of megapixel cameras.”

STELLAR will initially be available in Arecont Vision’s MegaDome® 2 all-in-one megapixel cameras. Performance features include extreme light sensitivity, spatiotemporal noise reduction, adaptive contrast enhancement, and motion blur reduction, as well as a low bit rate to conserve valuable bandwidth and storage space.

Arecont Vision® is the leading manufacturer of high-performance megapixel IP cameras. Arecont Vision® products are made in the USA and feature low-cost massively parallel image processing architectures MegaVideo® and SurroundVideo® that represent a drastic departure from traditional analog and network camera designs. All-in-one products such as the MegaDome®, MegaView®, MegaBall®, MicroDome®, and D4F/D4S/D4SO series provide installer-friendly solutions. True Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and remote focus/remote zoom enhance camera utility. Compact JPEG and H.264 series of cameras address cost-sensitive applications. These innovative technologies enable Arecont Vision® to deliver multi-megapixel digital video at IP VGA camera price points.
